Home Ownership Campaign 2020

Now that the pandemic has kept people indoors and certain businesses have closed their shutters for good, the property market seems bleak due to poor consumer affordability and unfavourable property prices.

However, all hopes are not lost as the Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) that was previously introduced in 2019 is now back (!) until May 2021, as part of the Short-Term Economic Recovery Plan (PENJANA) by the Malaysian government.

Malaysian property market to gradually improve in the year ahead, says MIEA

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian property market is set to gradually improve in the years ahead through to 2020, said the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) here today.

President Eric Lim Chin Heng said the property market might have bottomed out last year with transaction volumes hitting the lowest point since 2012 at 311,824.
